MY thoughts!

went to the edge of a mountain today outside the city with dad..we were visiting a farm outside the city...had a very very nice time with dogs and cats and cows and lots of free fields to run around !!!
hasnt sraboni written very well...?this article will be published in the timesofindia sunday edition on 28th october...she told us...you know the west's newfound facination with pakistani writers (or rather writers of pakistani and indian origin as almost all live in or were educated in pro western societies) is primarily due to the rekindled interest of social researchers and reformers of the west in the muslim world of the post 9/11 era....and what better place to start with other than pakistan...the place holds remnants of mighty british colonialism and simultaneously plays host to the worlds largest congregation of radical islamist terrorists... this parellel co-existence of two societies which are highly mutually disrespectful of each other has intruiged many..and it is the proper portrayal of this tension, friction and internal struggle to embrace newer ideas and change that has captured and enthralled the hearts of readers all over the world myself included.. I think that the new generation of pakistani writers are not only portraying this change that they see in the minds of the awam(common people) but in doing it they are actualy lending a helping hand to cultured few in the country who see this resurgence as an opportunity to enlighten the awam's minds with ideas that are much brighter and those that lend hope to a people ravaged by war, darkness and the threat of al-quaida millitants waging their so called jihad in the war torn northwest-frontier province...
